The Fine Art Of Kenzo Pathos: Shadow World Enters Year Two
We’ve been a fan of David Kessler’s Shadow World since we first learned of it (and shared it with you) a year or two ago. Since then, Kessler has won loads of accolades, and rightfully so: Shadow World takes one of the weirdest (and sometimes ugliest) places in the world — Kensington, specifically the area immediately in the El’s shadow — and imbues it with a kind of uneasy peace and dignity that, well, the area is not exactly known for. But the best part is, Shadow World is not a lie: It’s just another side of this place. We mention it because Shadow World has done something video podcasts almost never do — it has kept going. Recently, Kessler has begun to share Year Two of Shadow World, and while it’s the same show, Kessler’s directorial powers are growing. Check it out for yourself, and remember what is always forgotten about Kensington: There’s people in there.
