Don’t know if you’ve hit on this yet, but with the near-simultaneous filings of Philadelphia Newspapers LLC and Journal Register Co. this weekend, almost every major daily and weekly newspaper in the entire metro region is in bankruptcy. Save for the Bucks County Courier Times (Calkins Media Inc.) and the Courier-Post (Gannett), you can’t swing a dead cat in this town without hitting an insolvent newspaper. Montgomery County (Norristown Times Herald), Chester County (Daily Local) and, of course Philebs’ favorite suburban county, Delco (Delaware County Daily Times), as well as the Trentonian.

We’re not convinced that all of this isn’t a dream.
