This one hurts the heart a little bit: Blossom Dearie, one of the greatest lady singers and wits of Ever, passed away over the weekend. She was truly a class act.

Yeah. Read about this yesterday. How cute is she in those Blue Note studio shots with the glasses?

In my experience, Annie? Bleary lovemaking on a rainy Sunday does it every time. Jose Eber would agree.

she was awesome. my wife and i saw her 2 years ago at danny’s skylight room in manhattan. we talked with her for a long time and then she played 2 amazing sets and told amazing stories. r.i.p.

Her recording of “Is That All There Is?” is perfect. Maybe, in keeping with the song, that’s the question she’s right now asking herself about heaven.

She was so wonderful. A real singer of love songs. This makes me sad.

this sounds like the voice who sang “figure 8″ from the school house rock cartoons

djdeejay: it sure is! Blossom had a whole side career with the Schoolhouse Rocks productions in the 70s!
