Perhaps finally pushed by the threat of more wangbreaks during family TV time, the Philadelphia City Council has finally approved the ordinance authorizing Verizon’s FiOS to come in and give awful, soul-sucking Comcast some much-needed competition. It now moves to Mayor Nutter for the final go-ahead. No word yet on whether or not they’ll be flying The Fios Kid (at right) in to beat him down with facts.
