We’re excited not just about the Pains — an NYC band very much in the Primitives/Jesus & Mary Chain/Black Tambourine mold — but also because the band is at the heart of the resurgence of Slumberland Records, an indie-label that has come back really strong in the last year or so, releasing records we love by Crystal Stilts and The Lodger as well.
