Noontime Nuggetz: Obama To Kids At 30th Street Station – “Don’t Fall Through, That Would Really Mess Up Our Whole Inauguration”
Somewhere, these kids are still cracking up at how that douche Rick Warren pronounced their names.

All the catty swipes traded here at Philebrity, and yet nothing posted on what was worn? Criminal!
Inauguration:
The first lady looked wonderful–the lemongrass yellow cleanly-cut dress with those marvelous green gloves! I look forward to the new color palette she brings with her, as so much goes great with her skin tone. If anyone says they thought her color choice was “a bit much,” I say this: “Of course you did, whitey!”
The ball:
Obama has a long, thin neck, so he should have gone with a collar that had a higher neckband. Would have made him look more stately.
Not sure I was sold on the first lady’s dress. The color and texture were nice, but I think a different cut would have been more flattering.

One extra item: Aretha’s wonderful hat, which to those who actually know black people came off as charming. But apparently some sheltered people in the blogosphere were absolutely perplexed by it, and unwittingly made fun of millions of black women who wear very similar hats to church every Sunday. Seems to be the top item in the new blog, “Stuff White People Don’t Like.”

When did criticism of an ugly hat become racial commentary? Get ahold of yourself.

I understand many black ladies wear big hats to church. But isn’t saying “making fun of Aretha’s hat means you’re making fun of all black ladies” kind of stretching it? I’m allowed to respect a person and think they are wearing a stupid hat at the same time (and Aretha sure as hell gets my respect, pun only slightly intended.)
