Over the holidays, local artist/friend to many, many Phileb readers Karl L. Papendick was savagely murdered. The crime was so violent — and Karl was so loved in his community — that it’s left many in the NoLibs/Kensington/Fishtown areas rocked. Next Thursday, the 700 is hosting an event/benefit to celebrate Karl’s life and work (details on the flyer above). From all of us here at Philebs to Karl’s family and many friends, please accept our heartfelt condolences in this awful time.
