Noontime Nuggetz: Darren Finizio, “The Extortionists”
If you think it’s too soon for us to run another Darren video: A) You’re trippin’, fool. And B) Well, this, Darren’s description that accompanies the clip:
At first it seemed like we could use these things they had provided for us: certainly we needed them. Then we noticed certain patterns: deception/coercion/pandering — but, worse of all, a glut of information which (contrary to ‘rational’ thought) is not transforming perpetually. In fact, time, as we knew it, has ceased to exist. Our bodies, which are hardly useful any more, shall be buried in indifferent soil…..and our earthly contributions shall be unconscientiously discarded by malleable drones who’ll periodically regurgitate the past for functional purposes, while pretending the ground (both literal and imaginistic) still exists. This is a rant about these declining days where human dignity is strictly relative to paradigmatic gender customs which have been deliberately, and cruelly, engineered to humiliate man (as tastes and preferences are carefully monitered and filed away). We’re too knee-deep in the technology bug (drug?) to rebel, and any attempt to do so shall be thwarted by the feminine weapon (society) which requires male loneliness to execute it’s socio-cultural strategies. She is very strong and would probably find such verbiage boring and heavy-handed. Who can blame her? Man’s got a heavy hand…..unwittingly punishing his loathesome soul with his sublimatory creations or (in this case) pointlessly trying to initiate an intellectual sausage party. There’s no way to reverse the damage done — we’ve already been categorized, summarized and pickled for emotional/financial exploitation. We can only stare passively at the virtual absurdity before us and, if we can, grow nostalgic for the ‘good ole days’.
Yes. What he said.

I’m reminded of that scene from Silence of the Lambs with that guy, ummmm, Buffalo Bill? “Put the lotion in the basket!”

Is Darren employing a Barbara Walters-style lens gauze effect on these YouTube posts?

I think that alot of things Darren’s talking about here are very interesting. It’s ashame there’s no insightful replys here. So I’ll add one. This is period of great economic strife and people should never hesitate to second-question the social and psychological manifestations of that strife. I, personally, find much of it demoralizing. Thank you, Darren, for voicing your always welcomed commentary.
