Unfortunate Graphic May Lead Some To Believe That You Can Actually Recycle Your Nutter, But Alas, No.

The good news: Depending on what your local trash day is, weekly recycling begins TODAY! Woo! The bad news: We have no idea whether city employees will pick up your Nutter if you put him out on the curb. Depending on the condition he’s in, you could even be fined.

I fully expect my recycling to be picked up by the garbagemen as it has always been since moving from South Philly, where our recycling was simply never picked up.

too bad the city won’t recycle christmas trees along with the regular collections. but you can drop your tree off starting today: Monday, Jan. 5 through Saturday, Jan. 17 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Streets Department Sanitation Convenience Centers located at 3033 South 63rd Street, Domino Lane & Umbria Street, and State Road & Ashburner Street.

If your recyling isn’t picked up, or if you think it’s getting picked up as trash instead (and it really doesn’t happen as often as you think- same looking trucks makes it seem that way) then it’s up to you to report it otherwise nothing changes. Try using the nifty new 311 system to report it.

And Philebs- can you lay off the Dude for a minute. Can you imagine how much it sucks for him to be in this position right now? Or, can you imagine how much worse it would be if we had Brady or Knox running the show right now?

McKnappers, we really are trying to layoff the dude, but his employees keep making graphics like the one above. Are we not men?
