This Evening: Be Merry And All That Jazz
From the bottom of our hearts, we wish you a happy holiday. I’ve had a blast helming the Good Ship Philebrity. As always, you can find me, Anna Goldfarb, over at my #1 Boo, Shmitten Kitten. We just posted up our Holiday Voodoo Doll for all of you broken-hearted sistas out there. You can take out your aggression AND stuff a stocking with it. Joey will be back in the saddle resuming his editorial duties on Friday. And, here it is: your moment of zen. Oh, wait! I’m doing tonight’s picks. Scratch that. Let’s see what’s going on around town.
For Tonight, Christmas Eve:
>>> The 700 Club is having a gay ol’ time with Lola v Pianoman, which is their annual Christmas Eve sing-along party. Our buddy Anders elaborates, “They play a lot of Kinks, a lot of Billy Joel, and there is a HUGE singalong. It gets out of hand, everyone dances and sings along and sways and hugs and, sodden with liquor, wakes up the next day hungover with great memories. It is also non-denominational.”
>>> If you gotta pre-game a bit before seeing your asshole brother, Johnny Brenda’s is having a free fun fest for happy hour. Scoot in before 8pm, when they’ll shut down for the holiday.
For Tomorrow aka Thursday aka Christmas Day:
>>> Professional party throwers, Paperstreet, are throwing their 1st Annual “What Ya Get For Christmas?” party with DJs Brendan Bring’em and The Rub’s DJ Ayres at Time Lounge. It’s only $5 if you RSVP.
