Submitted For Your Holiday Mixtape Approval: Clubber Lang Gang’s “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” (Complete With Original Depressing Lyrics)

We’ll let Bethlehem, PA’s own Clubber Lang Gang explain this one:
True Story: In 1944, the song writing duo of Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane wrote “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” for the opening scene of the motion picture, Meet Me in St. Louis. At the time, Judy Garland and the suits at MGM said that the lyrics were too “depressing” and the writers were forced to cheer it up or forgo a large payday. The song has since become the great holiday classic that is known and loved in many circles. For the first time in 64 years and after nearly a hundred recorded versions by various artists, the clubber lang gang presents their own space-folk rendition, replete with fully restored original lyrics which seem especially timely given the global economic collapse currently coming down around us. Enjoy!
