Look, we get it: The City is fucking broke. And it’s only going to get worse. And every time one thing is spared, another gets cut. We are faced almost entirely with lose-lose scenarios. And we don’t pretend to have a solution. But just while we’re being honest, let us make note of a quote from deputy mayor Rina Cutler , playing let’s-just-suppose in front of City Council:
“You could, hypothetically, do logos on a variety of things we currently do not do them on.”
It would seem to be the shape of things to come. Look on the bright side: Philebrity is already setting up a PayPal for donations to help us “sponsor” Judy Garland Park.

Question to the people. Is it somehow going to be “different” when Obama has to do similar things federally? Or only when this city does it?
