They were gleaned from a variety of news sources, and if you'd really, really like to shoot the messenger, there is a fat man with pink hair in Hollywood who'd just love to hear from you.

To clarify: We at Philebrity did not make up any of these facts. This 'excuse for an article' is vile distortion of the Brian Scofield some of us know. The entire situation is a tragedy. Recent accounts of a Russian Roulette accident resulting in the death of Scott Ruffalo - if true - then it looks like his brother Mark (who has played a cop in a movie) put pressure on the Beverly Hills cops to work faster/act quicker to solve his brother’s shooting.Resulting in what appears to be the wild goose chase of the last week. There is no doubt that the witnesses panicked and fled the scene of the shooting - which is totally wrong. But so is using your Hollywood muscle (and your blog) to slander two “people of interest.” You should be ashamed.

I have to agree with the previous poster. I know Brian Scofield - he joined the magazine that I work at when he left City Paper. He was a reliable colleague and a good friend to us, nothing like the image painted above, which is cheap, lazy, offensive garbage.

This is a despicable article.
