Some of our readers might already know that on Friday night, our friend and comrade in The War Against Stupidity Brian Hickey was severely injured in a hit-and-run in Collingswood, NJ. We just spoke with Hickey’s wife, Angela Klem, and there’s a spot of good news today: Brian is out of the medically induced coma he went into over the weekend, and is more responsive than he was earlier. But he’s got a ways to go, and it’s with this in mind that we ask you to keep Brian in your thoughts; in addition to being one of our favorite IM sparring partners ever, the dude is also a great writer, beloved husband and bro to many. Meanwhile, the search for the piece of shit who hit and ran goes on: If you or anyone you know was around the stretch of North Atlantic leading up to Cuthbert in Collingswood around 10:10/10:15pm on Friday, please scour your brain for anything you might have seen. This was the last place the driver was spotted. We’ll keep you updated on Brian’s condition as the week goes on, but in the meantime, feel free to check out his blog, Hickey Blunt.
