Oh, And Also? The Benjy Ferree Show Last Night Was GREAT.

We gave it a brief mention in Weekend Picks, but to be honest, we were taken off guard by the understated greatness of Benjy Ferree and his band’s set at The M Room last night; so much so that we feel we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention it. Ferree has always been a songwriter of a certain stature, but this show — which featured Drew Mills from Blood Feathers very prominently — just kicked ass in this perfect glam/rockabilly/gospel rave-up kind of way that I don’t think anybody was expecting. Turns out, most of the set was a preview of Ferree’s new album, Come Back To The Five And Dime Bobby Dee Bobby Dee, that comes out in February; the track above, “Fear,” is the one that got us where we live. Not to make too big a fuss, but these new tunes are monsters, man. Awesome.

    A) Smoke the good stuff and bro out with close friends.
    B) Proceed to go home and take a bath and baptize yourself
    C) Smoke more of the good stuff and sex with someone or yourself.
