Great Moments In Who’s A Bigger Piece Of Shit: Ben Sorkin Vs. Deanna Durante
This is gonna be fun. In this corner, we have Center City jeweler Benjamin Sorkin, who recently pleaded no contest to videotaping six female customers as they used his loo. Classy. And after a visit to the Criminal Justice Center yesterday, where Sorkin did his duty to register for probation, he met his opponent, NBC10 correspondent, Deanna Durante. And here’s where the “Who’s A Bigger Piece Of Shit” battle starts to get a little muddy. In the related video, Durante does her best as a craven, desperate “gotcha!” reporter (for a story nobody gives a shit about, natch) to berate, brow-beat and follow Sorkin as he simply tries to get out of the camera’s gaze. But Durante and her camera will not relent, and clearly, Sorkin is rattled. So much so that he’s thrown off his course and at one point collides with Durante. And here, you see the true human nature in both: Sorkin wonders if that was his fault. Then, he holds his most likely non-hurt arm, wondering if he can sue. Durante doesn’t miss a beat. She screeches. She looks towards the camera, making sure it’s all been caught on tape. “You just ran into me!,” she says unconvincingly. “Don’t stop taping!,” she says after Sorkin has brushed himself off and continues walking. More unanswered questions are barked out, Sorkin continues walking, the camera follows him just past Chili’s at 13th and Filbert, and a calm silence comes over the footage. For we have just realized: Deanna Durante, you are a bigger piece of shit than a confessed middle-aged peeping tom. Have a great weekend!

I thought it was great Karma as Durante screamed “You ran into me, we got it on tape!” Considering he’s up against charges of taping women without their consent in the bathroom.

c’mon….are you guys serious about those Durante comments??
It is blatantly obvious that he LUNGED…yes lunged into her. She wasn’t even the one badgering him…the Channel 6 field producer was. She never once says–”don’t stop taping”…..as indicated in the fantasy post above.
If you for one second think DD was the one at fault for that physical assault, you are smoking the same crack they’re selling down at K&A.
I find it interesting that the person who posted that–and railed against a local media employee just doing her job—goes anonymous.
I understand the purpose of blogs….but, is it to slam local media even if it is unfounded??
Worth noting—he’s the creep here…not the media. Maybe the administrator of this blog is his nephew who did all of the wiring for the slimy surveillance….who knows.
