Readers Write: Phillies Fans, Can We Please Fix Ted’s Flipped Car Please?

Hey All,

So after I came home last night after celebrating the World Series win I found my car flipped over on Broad Street. All the windows were broken, the side mirrors were smashed, the bumper was ripped off, and there was tons of damage to the body. Funny enough it was the only car within four blocks that got flipped. Anyway my insurance won’t cover it because I only had liability coverage and Triple A (aka AAA) wouldn’t tow it cause they don’t cover that either. I had to pay a tow truck to come out and re-flip it. I can’t afford to buy a new car but I figured if a bunch of people who partied on Broad Street last night could donate a few bucks I’d be able to buy a new car.

I made a website where people can donate if they are able. If you can pass this on to friends I’d appreciate it.

(you can see a video of the re-flip at the bottom of the page)

Seriously it feels super weird to even ask people for money so if you’d just give me a high five next time you see me that’s great too.

Thanks!
GO PHILS!!
xoxo

The audio is the best part of the clip. A nice ‘Go, Phillies’ cheer at the end kinda made everything ok.

It’s hard to have much sympathy for anyone who thought parking on broad street last night was a good idea.

Sorry but I think the perpetrators should be rounded up and publicly caned then forced into slavery until this man’s car is paid for.

well, the police and the Mayor’s office are no joke about IDing people in photos and videos.

but I love how Ted is still saying “go phils.” that’s love!

i think asking for money is an awesome idea, yeah it wasn’t so smart parking on broad, but that doesn’t mean he deserves that.

@horseclaw. Ted lives at 1409 Ellsworth, a half block off of Broad St. I wouldn’t have thought twice about parking on this part of Broad St last night either. It was also the ONLY car within 4 blocks to get flipped too.

Total bad luck for a good guy. Throw him some money since he has been supporting the local art and film scene for years now through Padlock Gallery and Small Change Screenings.

Man, C.theImpaler was right! You are retro. Not 1960’s retro but way fucking back in the 1860’s retro. This is at least the third time you’ve made a vaguely pro-slavery comment in the last week or two.

You probably wish this job was still available too:

I know EXACTLY what you are going through. My car was flipped over as well. I was parked on 1300 Walnut. Right next to Robinsons Luggage. My car has been all over the news and websites and youtube etc. My car is the red Honda they turned over. I am in the same exact position as you. I recently lost my job and am unemployed. I don’t know how I am going to pay for my car either.

You may want to re-evaluate your standards for brilliance.
