Is there proof she was an actual campaign operative, or just plain stoopid? The McCain camp is full of dirty tricks, but the GOP has long harped on Tawana Brawley, so I doubt any actual campaign operative would countenance something like this. Serves her right for getting exposed.

Worse case scenario: She did it for Bubba. Think about it, does she not have a bit of classed down Lewinsky look about her? The sort a guy coming to terms with his political “has been” status might be able to obtain through the right handlers? He put the whammie on this woman to perpetrate the stunt? Why? Well if the transparent fraud were exposed, Billy C can decidedly say he did do some “red meat” work for the Obama candidacy, of course only in the dark corners in which he operates these days. If for some reason the fraud never came to light, he doesn’t ruin the election, but does damage Obama’s cultural zeitgeist to allow for a Mrs. C challenge for the nom in 2012. It’s all triangulations, or “moves”.
Never discount Bill Clinton in a fight unless you’re coming with kryptonite. The man’s bulletproof. Bulletproof like a fox.
