Kyle Kendrick Admits Love Of Backstreet Boys, City Demands Trade Immediately

Add this to your last 24 hours of Phillies Phresh Hell:

I’m only 24, and as a kid growing up near Seattle, boy bands were popular. I always thought the Backstreet Boys were the best out there, better than ‘NSYNC. I was a freshman in high school when they came out with their big CD, and my buddies and I used to listen. The girls always thought they were cute and I liked their music. They were just good.

I’m not sure what’s more upsetting: This or the prospect of Jamie Moyer starting tomorrow. I’m gonna defer to hope on all of this and say that this is just some crazy mind mojo the Phils are using to trick the world.

Kendrick is a few months older than me, and though I admit I was into lame music for a portion of my childhood, listening to Backstreet Boys at the age he was by the time they hit it big would have gotten your ass kicked in my high school.

I state this all the freaking time but the last great music scene was from the early to mid 90′s. since then it’s been select bands (MMJ, Autolux etc) and then this force fed pop crap. I feel so bad for the generations behind me that had nothing.

    …steps down…

Yikes. That entire “diary” entry or whatever it is supposed to be is embarrassing.

As for Moyer on Saturday night, I’m praying for rain; not because I don’t trust Moyer (which I kind of don’t) but because it would open up the possibility of having King Cole throw again in Game 4 (which would then allow Hamels to also pitch Game 7). So even though it would mean having to wait another day for a World Series game in the 215, join with me and pray for rain tomorrow night.

    Res,

If there’s a rain day, the makeup day will be Tuesday, the travel day, so that consecutive games will be played on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The only way Hamels pitches three times is if they pitch him on three days rest twice, which is highly unlikely. A rainout won’t help.

    Just sayin’!

Damn, I didn’t realize the schedule was compacted that much.

Well, here’s to blue skies and Gramps!
