215 Fest Extra: Live Studio Audience Taping Of The First-Ever Philebrity TV Hour!

It is with some trepidation that we tell you that we’ll be closing this year’s 215 Festival with the first run of something we’ve been thinking about for a long time now: The Philebrity Television Hour, our version of a chat/variety show. Equal parts Mike Douglas Show, This American Life and Saturday Night Live, the PTH blends comedy, music, interview and short film, in a slickly produced wrapper that gives its participants no personal gratification whatsoever and only serves to entertain YOU, the audience. Our premiere episode will feature:

· Host Joey Sweeney, talking to some Philebrity “big gets” from the
comfort of his chair, and forcing guests to “do shots” with him.
· Daily News political correspondent Catherine Lucey
· Dating Makes You Want To Die co-author Dorothy Robinson
· Short films and “commercials” via featured local director Shawn Kilroy
· Musical guest and house band BC Camplight
· A slideshow/power point presentation by DJ Steven Bloodbath
· Readings courtesy Pilot & The Panda / True Jersey /
dailymiltonian.wordpress.com author Erik Bader

… and so much more!

The Philebrity Television Hour is produced as though and as if it were a live television program, with one segment bleeding right into the other and a live studio audience. The entire performance will be captured on video and audio and will be made available after the fact as both an audio podcast and stand-alone web video segments. THE PHILEBRITY TV HOUR: It’s not on television, and it’s longer than an hour.

Philebrity TV Hour, Sunday, October 26, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. $5 suggested donation. The Latvian Society, 531 N 7th St.
