Update: “Sarah Palin Is A C*nt” T-Shirts Make Fox News, Over 250 Sold So Far
You know, when we’re old and gray and look back on all the crazy adventures we had on Philebrity.com, one of the proudest moments will have to be the day we introduced those “Sarah Palin Is A C*nt” t-shirts to the world. That post in particular did a brisk business in fwds that week, but only now is this little bon mot reaching the upper echelons of the MSM. To wit, dig the segment that aired on Fox News the other day at right, and wonder if you’ve ever seen any group of people stumble over the dastardly c-word in such an extravagant display. (It’s like a hyperspace clusterfuck ballet!) But how are the shirts going over elsewhere? We chatted with Ralph Stollenwerk at CrucialBrutal, the designers’ collective behind the shirts, and he told us that they’ve sold 250 of the shirts through their website to date, with more orders coming in every day. In addition, he says, the shirts have found their way to ABC, Gawker.com, Indecision 08 (Comedy Central’s election blog), and a bunch of hardcore music message boards. Meanwhile, F.T. Davidson (the guy in the photo wearing the shirt and the mooseknuckle) was interviewed by The NY Times, Temple Newspaper, and The Associated Press. Best of all? “If you google ‘anti palin shirts,’” says Stollenwerk, “there’s a new photo of 4 kids wearing the shirts and the word C*NT is blacked out.” Like we said: Proud moments.

Eh, not so proud. I agree with the women on this clip, mostly. Fair is fair, right? If we stumbled across a red stater — or even, say, someone from Scranton — sporting a “OBAMA IS A NIGGER” t-shirt, that would pretty much suck, right? There sure as hell would be a lot of steam rising from this site — and justifiably.
It’s just not intelligent. We’re smarter than that, honest.

I hear what you’re saying, sonny…but the word “cunt” isn’t attached to 200 years of oppression and slavery of an entire race. sort of a giant difference.
what would suck is if Palin somehow stumbled into the fucking white house.

I have only seen fat chicks wearing them. My conclusion is that said fat chicks are jealous that Sarah Palin has pumped out quite a few kids and still manages the MILF label. Sweat on fatties but remember, in that shirt you look like Rosie O’Donnell

@Sonny,
I disagree with your reasoning there. Using racism is a whole other level of offensiveness. Telling someone they’re a “cunt”, while very offensive, is not like calling someone a “Ni***r”. Shit I can’t even type it without feeling like a racist douche. Hell, cunt isn’t even a sexist term as I hear guys call other guys cunts all the time. It’s just a very offensive (and often funny) term.
As for “red stater” offensive outer wear, look no further than Cafe Press. Comparing someone to Hitler, human feces, showing them in relation to “terrorists”, that’s offensive too.
You’re right, we are smarter than that. So smarten up and realize it’s all a bunch of bullshit and enjoy a laugh every now and then.

fractionofawhole:
All those anti-Obama shirts were done to our current Idiot-In-Chief. It isn’t anything new, it’s still offensive, but if it’s bad or not depends on your perspective.
At the same time, I’m stuck siding with Sonny.
Sonny:
It sucks, but your right. Actually, I was tempted to make the same point. Popplenoose was right, the word “Cunt” doesn’t have the same exact stigma attached to it. At the same time, I will argue that the word “Cunt” is the worst thing you can call a woman, so “Nigger”… well, you can see where I’m going with this.
Of course, there are these two shirts:
Obama: False Messiah
John McCain: War Without End
Done by the same guy, too, and guess which one sold more? I’m pretty sure you would be shocked.

I’m with Sonny.
Popplenoose said: “the word “cunt” isn’t attached to 200 years of oppression and slavery of an entire race. sort of a giant difference.”
yeah… like there is no historical precedent of people treating women as subhuman slaves.
Fractionofawhole: I find your whole ‘it’s used in jest; it’s funny’ justification to be lacking. How many black-comedian punchlines utilize the term, “nigger?” You don’t know any white dudes who call other white dudes “nigger” to be ironic?
