We’re not sure if we’ve ever hipped you all to Philly Hammond legend Charles Earland aka “The Mighty Burner,” but, uh, we just did. Here he is with George Duke and Buddy Williams at Carnegie Hall in 1981.

That cat is cool, but when I hear the name “The Mighty Burner” I think of Sonny Hopson – another philly original with his own place in the city’s music history. http://www.citypaper.net/articles/082400/ae.20q.shtml
