Sad Dan Gross Clown Goes Back To The Well For Anchorgate Sequel Nobody Wants
You would think that the reversal of fortune levelled upon Dan Gross at the hands of Larry Mendte and Alycia Lane would be enough to queer the man off of the hair-helmet beat forever. After all, he’s now tied up in that case’s legal tentacles, barbarians hang at the gate of each new piece he posts, and the associated burnout alone would be enough to make a grown man cry/dead man come. He is a sad ghosty clown of the columnist he once was. So we almost have to hand it to The Dan for being seemingly the only person in the world to care about whatever dustup occurred between NBC10’s Lori DelGado and Vince Dementri. (Oh, wait, Klein’s on this now, too. Sad.) Because however ambivalent you felt about Larycia, can you muster any enthusiasm at all for these D-listers? And is there any joy at all to be gotten at this late date from the daily assrape Gross gets in his comments sections? And worse still, doesn’t this whole sequel feel forced, not just from media, but also from its participants (in the media)? No, no… and yes. Calgon, take me away.

The only thing sad here is another pathetic display of Philebrity covering news I have reported while mocking it enough to say you’re only covering it, you know, ironically. For the site to repeatedly disguise posting stories that intrigue you by pointing out that how silly it is that they were ever reported is both juvenile and disingenuous. As far as whether Sweeney is more famous than DeMentri or Delgado, I’ll grant there are probably more people in the narrow audience this site caters to who may be talking shit on Sweeney over brews at Johnny Brenda’s than there are discussing TV newscasters.
At least the PhillyGossip comenters who “assrape” me on a daily basis are occasionally funny.
