Larry, this is a blog, not the Associated Press; if you want balanced coverage go to Fox (I kid). I think it’s fair to be pissed that something many Philadelphians and sports fans have been looking forward to (the beginning of the season)has been turned into a political stunt. I don’t want this woman anywhere near my city, let alone ruining a moment I’ve been waiting for. Let her drop the puck in Alaska – she has no right to be here.

Yeah, a fair view. It’s an election, and everyone makes weird campaign stops like this. Your making fun of her for dropping the puck at the Flyer’s game, what is so horrible about her living up to her “hockey mom” persona?

I won’t lie, her doing this in Philly is stupid for one reason only: 80% of registered voters are Democrats and, since it’s so apparent most people vote for a party and not their brain, 80% of people in this city most likely are ready to vote for Obama.

At the same time, they realize the strategic advantage of Pennsylvania in the upcoming election and that, in fact, the Philadelphia suburbs are where this election is going to be decided, something anyone following this election can tell you.

This is going to go one of two ways; either just ugly outside as a bunch of people take a hockey game and turn it into the biggest political event possible or a LOT uglier when a lot of people make it ugly inside AND out because of this. Bad move for the Flyer’s to do this, although understandable.

OK, I haven’t wanted to comment on these, but I am:

I’m no conservative, and I’m not planning on voting for McCain, but for the love of god, can you stop with the rampant “MCCAIN AND PALIN ARE EVIL!!!!!11″ stuff? Can you at least TRY to have a fair view on this election? I love this blog, it’s awesome, and I read it daily… but seriously, don’t you think this is getting petty? I bet 99% of the people who read this blog already don’t plan on voting for McCain, why keep going on like this?

How about at least ONE anti-Obama post just to mix it up?

Screw the firebombing, Philebrity should invade the 700 Level and incite a ~~riot~~ massive display of public disapproval. Philadelphia could decide this race for the nation by going all ~~Chicago '68~~ Rage Against the Machine parking lot at another vapid Palin photo op.
