I believe the main reason channel 6 still dominates local news ratings to this day is because people’s love for Jim O’Brien. People not from this area or that era are mystified why anyone watches that newscast.

i remember hearing the news on the playground of my elementary school in nj. i don’t know how we found out, maybe a teacher told us? 25 years is insanity.
