And Now, The Love That Dare Not Speak Its Name

Before we all (hopefully) go down this road again together, let’s learn from the mistakes of last year. And I’m not even talking about on the field. No, I’m talking about the wild card fever/playoff emotional mess we were all in here around this time last year. Symptoms include:
· spending every last dime you have on last minutes Phils tickets
· getting so drunk in an effort to calm the jangling late-September/early October baseball nerves, but really, this quickly turns into being drunk all the time
· … with being drunk all the time generally leading to crying all the time
… and letting pretty much everything else in your life go. Maybe when all is said and done, some people just can’t handle winning. That said, bring it on.

    totally, totally. the rollercoaster of emotions can hurt. but last year’s division clinching game was magical. hoping for that rarefied feeling again…will friday’s game rain-wash into a doubleheader on sunday?!
