Because come Friday night, don’t be surprised if Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, NY — home to white-hot, much-anticipated All Tomorrow’s Parties NY 2008, curated by My Bloody Valentine — looks like a much, much more loc’d out version of the Liberty Lands Festival. No doubt this vibe will be reinforced by appearances of both Bardo Pond and Lilys, but also by the ever-growing list of Philly indie gentry that are going to this, Our Skinny Jeans Woodstock. Among our list of confirmed Philly attendees: Realtor Rich Fravel, Mickey Walker (Lilys, Mazarin) doing sound for Lilys, that Nunzi & Ezi girl, Quentin Stolzfus (Mazarin, Blood Feathers), mercher-to-the-stars Daylen Dalrymple, R5/Kung Fu Necktie dude Steven Ward James, and holy shit, this can’t be right, even Sweeney. (We thought he only travelled to the Jersey shore!) More Philly ATP posse members are sure to come out of the woodwork, but just so you know: If you’re staying in Philly this weekend, it’ll probably be a great time to do, oh, you know, anything not involving any of these people. Not sure what separates that from any other weekend, but hey: MY BLOODY VALENTINE! Whoa.
