Dept. Of Giant Imploding Metaphors For The Housing Market: Inside The Big Fishtown Home Collapse On Saturday

Two readers were kind enough to send in links to photos of this house near the corner of Frankford and Montgomery collapsing on Saturday afternoon. Luckily, no one was harmed in the incident; however, the building was home to two tenants whom we’re presuming are now more or less possessionless. (If anyone knows these folks and anything we can do to help them, please get in touch.) Oddly, according to this PhillyBlog thread, L&I had just slapped an orange sticker on the property only 30 minutes before its collapse. Check out more photos here and here.

Maybe they slapped it a little too hard.

My friend has or now had an apartment…he lost everything…I know he could use some help but I’ve no idea what that could be.
