Confidential To Drexel: You’re Not Ugly, You Just Haven’t Filled Out Yet
Poor, pitiful Drexel University. Much like its Catholic progenitors (we know of what we speak here), it’s a perpetual also-ran, a safety school, a non-starter. (But chin up, Dragons: Lasalle and St. Joe’s suck even harder when it comes to the pall that only Catholics, lapsed or not, can instill in an educational environment. Again, we know of what we speak.) Nevertheless, the hits keep coming for Drexel: Radar has named the university “America’s Ugliest Campus,” on the heels of Princeton Review doing more or less the same for the last few years. Now, yes, Drexel, you’re not doing yourself any favors when you chop down like 20 trees outside the DAC, but on the other hand, while everyone else is teasing you for looking like a community college, your rankings are quietly darting up, and seriously, your nose is growing in just fine. Don’t listen to those other kids. They probably have herpes.

Hey, don’t go dissing my alma mater. I received a fine, fine education there in the late 80s AND spent a large proportion of my time half in the bag. Does anyone else remember the Bala Inn? Yeah, I didn’t think so.

The Drexel family the founded the University was Protestant, Drexel University has no religious affiliation nor has it ever. AJ Drexel’s niece was the one who became a saint and she is also on an odd Mural next to some dorms, which is the cause for much confusion.
