Best Revenge On The Philly Parking Authority Ever: National Parking Day In Philly

What are you gonna do, Metermaid, BOOT MY ASS? Well, we’d like to see you try. That’s why we’re marking Friday, September 19 on our calendars for National Park(ing) Day Philadelphia, and currently scouting locations where we can: A) find a desirable, metered parking space; B) throw some coins in said meter; C) lay down some grass or astroturf, thereby making our own mini-park (Philebrity Square has a nice ring to it) and take back the city in a way only a situationist random act of goofy beauty can. Yes, this is for real. And yes, it happens all over the country (see video at right). And no, we haven’t quite figured how we’re going to get around the open container laws.
