Correction To NYT: Is Obama Nutter the End of Black Politics Goatees?

It’s not that we don’t think you’re handsome, Dude; it’s just that we want to see your whole face! Also, you come off GREAT in this piece, even if you are still kind of half-assedly shilling for Hillz.

I’ve gotta point out that I still think Dude is being intentionally obtuse with this whole “How dare I be expected to support the black candidate just ’cause I’m black too!” shtick. It’s not like national press was banging that drum — it was a local criticism/mystery. How about the fact that they’ve both run as change candidates? How about the fact that Nutter was elected with almost exactly the same coalition constituency that drives (and has driven, since the Chicago beginnings) the Obama effort: mobile, creative class whites and a solid black demographic? Local media was aware of this, and I really think his whole stance is somewhat aloof.
