1.9% vacancy, wha? Do the vacants in the NW get written up as “likely domestic terrorist police hate group cell” and just assigned an occupant number when they do the census around here?

…and 2000 and HATE infects the comments section. Again. “Philly: the town whose residents love to hate.” Let it go. Bring back the brotherly love. All the hate is tiring in this heat.

Annie, sweetie, it ain’t hate. It’s mind-boggle A 1.9% percent vacancy rate just sounds incredibly unlikely. At that rate, you’re talking about a town where it takes months to secure a rental, (one of those environments where the best way to get an apartment is to inherit it, or hire a full time apartment hunter, etc.) it’s next to impossible to buy an attractive property, etc., etc. In my experience, it takes no more than a single dedicated work week to find good digs in Philadelphia. I like the Philadelphia I live in just fine, I’m just suspicious of any puff piece coming out of Forbes since they’ve been known to make up equations to produce novel claims re: quality of life in various cities.
In short, dear annie, those people you call haters may not be hating, they just may actually know what they’re talking about. That “heat” blistering you is just the metabolic byproduct of some people doing this process called “thinking.” Try it some time.
Now seriously, what happened to the Francisville 5?

bwwaaaaahahahaha. 1.9%! Are you KIDDING me. I love all the housing along Del Ave, especially those 2 towers with a third being built, at night. You can see at most 10 lights on. What a joke. That article also says Austin’s average rent is 767 which is so off base it’s unbelievable.
