Local Hair Salon Launches “Mullets Not Bullets” Campaign, Delco Gun Crimes Expected To Drop Dramatically
Behold, the once-lowly mullet. Not too long ago, it was nothing but an in-joke among friends, but these days, it’s a full-borne industry. There’s scads of International variations; there’s Mullets Galore, Rate My Mullet, MulletJunky.com; there’s the Mullet coffee table book; and we’re not even going to begin to ponder the current era of the high-fashion mullet. But at the Center City hair salon/groovy think tank American Mortals, they’ve decided it’s high time that the mullet give something back. Hence, MulletsNotBullets.com, an anti-violence public service campaign bearing the simple slogan, “Remember, kids — it’s mullets, not bullets, everytime. Play non-violently.” (See the first MulletsNotBullets PSA at right.) Forgetting for a moment that, barring a jerry-curl, it’s nearly impossible for people of some races to even grow a mullet, it’s a message anyone can get behind. Actually, it can get way long behind. And of course, short on top. Ahem.
