Because they went through the sardine can of Taste of Philadelphia, and may have waited over an hour in line to get into the ice cream pavilion. Add the heat and you got evaporating attention. The lay out of the events “feeding” a lot of the Boys II Men audience and others was pretty oppressive; and you had to go through those gauntlets to get to the stage whether you were eating or not.
That said, Joe Pesce’s crabcake sandwich wasn’t bad. Not bad at all.
