Philadelphia: Natural Disaster-Free Since Forever (Not Counting The Street Administration, PGW, M. Night’s Latest, Or The Reid Brothers)
Hey, Philly, good morning! Why so glum, chum? Sure, you’ve got it bad, what with the murder, the humidity, and all the local news-anchor soulsuck, but look on the bright side: When’s the last time God smited you? No, we mean, really, REALLY smited you. Blogger say what?
I have linked you to a list of all the news making natural and man made disasters that have caused casualties in the United States. Notice that the great state of Pennsylvania is listed a total of 5 times which include the 911 attacks, the Johnstown Flood of 1889, the Pittsburgh flood of 1936, the great train wreck of 1856 and Mowhawk Airlines flight 40 in 1967. All but one of these was a manmade disaster and out of that it was 5 or 6 hours away from Philadelphia in Pittsburgh which should make Philadelphia a more desirable city based on that fact alone.
Sayin’. On the other hand, you could say that will all that non-disaster, we’re kinda askin’ for it.

God would never outright smite Philly. He has too much fun giving it constant wedgies, noogies, and “indian burns”.
