if you call the video clip gay, you’re essentially calling the band, the song, and everything about it gay.

i understand you have your own opinion, but there’s no need to insult them life this.

and also with your first comment u insulted menudo, but now ur insulting all of us as well as fans of the old menudo by calling them boneheaded thugs.

Guys, guys, guys. Settle down! For the record, I called the video clip gay, NOT the band. Y’all are taking this waaaaaay too personally and woefully out of context.

It’s like if I posted the NSync video for “Tearing Up My Heart” as a Noontime Nugget and said, “this is the Gayest thing we’ve ever posted.” I’m not specifically calling any of the members of the band gay, just the video clip. Does that make it any clearer for you?

I’m sorry, but boy band-esque dance choreography, excessive hair products and fake bling in 2008 would make any “band” ripe for mockery.

Sheesh. You guys just see the words “Menudo” and “Gay” near each other and next thing we know, you’re launching a letter-writing campaign and organizing a Million Menudo Fan March through Fishtown.

You guys are worse than Claymates! And, you’re just reinforcing the stereotypes that Menudo fans are a rogue league of reactionary, boneheaded thugs…sorry, I’m laughing too hard to finish my thought.

I love you, Menudoheads, despite your misguided, senseless entries in this here comment section.

I dont care if this is “a free country”, but who the hell are you to say that the NEW Menudo is gay??? Being a Menudo fan, i don’t appreciate you bashing them just because you have no clue what they’re about. Stop being so ignorant and stop posting stupid entries like this! I am also extremely disgusted that anyone would say something so negative about those boys! it’s a shame that anyone would bash them this way. I doubt you’ve seem them live or have even met them. they’re doing great things and are immensely talented, friendly and great at what they do, unlike other singers who might lip sync or become ego maniacs. they’re going to go far and they have already, with fans who love them to death. so just don’t judge them. they make good music and there’s nothing gay about them. they’re the sweetest guys and genuine. they’re doing the latin community proud and i’m a part of it so i’d know. jealousy shouldn’t make u degrade them! that said I wish Menudo all the best!!!!!

These boys do not deserved to be called gay! They are amazingly talented and very dedicated. They are doing an outstanding job getting there careers going, and they don’t deserve these negative comments. i wish these boys all the best of luck, because i am a true menudo fan. I love these boys and they deserve the love back.

I do not understand how this cane be catergorized as “gay”. They are five young men who are trying to continue the legacy that is Menudo. They do not deserved to be insulted like that! I wish them all the best because they truly deserve it!! Its nice to know Latin/Hispanic musics is becoming more main stream. Please please do not this is “gay” when it clearly is NOT. Excuse me, but on behalf of all the fans of those so called “Los Cabritos Borracho”, I am ABSOLUTELY disgusted with this entry.

I understand this is a free country and you have the freedom of speech, but that was uncalled for and we do NOT appreciate you bashing on them. While we [fans] are doing all that we can do to support them (so that they can AND WILL make it to the top), you go ahead and degrade them as if they are unworthy for the music industry.

You could not be anymore wrong.

In fact, many of the “true menudo fans” are now fans of this Menudo, so I strongly advise that you do a background check before you make assumptions.
They are doing an outstanding job with their careers so far and this is ONLY just the beginning. It’s a shame to see such ignorant, negative messages toward a band that is underestimated for their future success in life.
Do NOT judge them.
