Aspiring Thespians and Sci-Fi Nerds Take Note: Transformers 2 Will Be Shooting In Philly This Week
The bad news: you’ll have to hang out in West Philly. At Penn.
DreamWorks Productions will be filming scenes for the upcoming movie “Transformers 2″ on Penn’s campus this week. The filming will take place in the Quad and both inside and outside the Psi Upsilon (Castle) fraternity on Locust Walk.
Alright, you got us. About 95% of the reason we even ran this story was to post this amazing picture along side it. You’re welcome, Philly!

Do not go anywhere near Spruce Street between 34th and 38th Streets in a car for the next two days. It’s a freakin’ mess.

Don’t forget the cineastes with high power rifles looking to take out Michael Bay.

Not just the cineastes, a significant chunk of Transformers fans hate what Bay’s done with the franchise. Some folks thing the whole Revenge of the Fallen subtitle is a ploy to address the mythology of the semi-canonical Transformers comics-verse (won’t bother getting into who/what The Fallen is, basically the Transformers’ Satan) in order to keep them secure in his camp. Uh, yeah.
