We, the undersigned, ask that Castor Avenue be renamed in honor of Police Officer Gary Skerski.We are affirming with our signatures that we believe the renaming of Castor Avenue as P/O Gary Skerski Avenue will be a fitting tribute and means of honoring P/O Skerski in that he gave his life in the service of the citizens of the City of Philadelphia.

With all due respect to the late Officer Skerski (pictured), can Philadelphia get out of the business of re-naming streets? Columbus Blvd., anyone? Just saying. Surely there must be a more fitting memorial — just don’t tell Joey Vento.
