Now That’s What I Call Reverse Publishing: WXPN To Carry Daytrotter Sessions
Chances are, if there’s an indie rock band you like that has come around in the last few years, they’ve done a Daytrotter session. Based in Rock Island, Illinois, Daytrotter has been whisking touring bands into their studio since ‘06, and in that short time, they’ve amassed quite an archive of sessions. And starting on May 7th, each Wednesday at 10:30pm, WXPN will air “Daytrotter Radio,” a unique partnership between both parties. For WXPN, it’s a great marketing move as it aligns the station with an Internet-savvy audience, and for Daytrotter, it’s a great way to keep the sessions in circulation. For the listener, it’s even better: David Dye’s musician-grilling Batman just got a new Robin.
