Totally-Uncontroversial-To-Anyone-With-A-Brain Reverend Coming To Philly, Philebrity Considers Getting Saved

Real talk: The more The White Man’s Media tries to railroad both Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Barack Obama with him, the more we grow to really, really like Rev. Wright and think, shit, maybe this guy should be running for president. Watch the C-Span clip at right. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a public figure with such an in-tact bullshit detector, and it’s hella lame that Obama is so scurred that he feels like he has to run from this shit. So while many will groan when they hear that Wright will be preaching at the St. Thomas African Episcopal Church in Overbrook on May 28 and 29, we say, “WELCOME REVEREND WRIGHT.” This may be the first time we’ve gone to church in over 10 years.

Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast, Philebs? The man is a little bit crazy. He believes that AIDS was created by the government to destroy black people. (I guess the government got a little audacious and decided to kill gays with it first.) You do not want to pray in his church, literally or figuratively, dear heart. You definitely do not.

he probably also believes that some type of all-powerful magical ghost in space created the universe in 7 days, but then again, they tell you that in a lot of churches and no one gets too worked up. hard to say which story – that or the AIDs one – sounds crazier.
