Pressler/Wallace Wedding Announcement In The Times Reveals A Healthy Lineage Of Booooring
Real talk: Did J-Press (pictured) move to New York and take Cap’n Snooze simply so her wedding announcement could run in the Times? We’ll let you know as soon as she gets back on Instant Messenger, but in the meantime, SHAME ON YOU for trying to cast this love asunder. Erm, or shame on ME, as the case may be. Either way, the Pressler-Wallace Hydra is now official: The pair were married at the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America on Saturday, here in Philly. No Philebrity staff was invited. (We have, however, been invited to Norm and Heather’s wedding, which has its own blog, but we will most likely be instantly disinvited if we link to it here.) Anyway, the Times announcement, like all Times wedding announcements, says more about the bride and groom’s socio-cultural DNA than it does about anything else. Who woulda thunk it? It takes two professors, a counselor and a mom to make one of these. And here, we just thought it was a handful of clippings from Spy magazine, a Vanity Fair profile of Candace Bushnell and some magical irony dust. Shows how much we know!
