Readers Fwd: UArts Goes … Wait, What’s The Opposite Of Green?
From the UArts-based friend of a reader:
Seems the University of the Arts has dropped a load of money to celebrate the arrival and inauguration of President Sean T. Buffington [pictured], while neglecting to give much of its staff a cost-of-living increase, even though their Staff Council made it a point to meet with Buffington about that issue.
Fast forward to this week – UA’s Earth Day celebration was cancelled yesterday because the Welcoming Committee decided to lay a RED CARPET for Buffington’s inauguration events on Friday of last week. Problem was, the red carpet was stuck so bad to the front steps and main lobby that UA’s cleaning team spent from yesterday morning to today scraping the sticky glue stuff off with extremely toxic and noxious chemicals.
Now THAT’S an Earth Day celebration for ya!
