Animal Collective is the New York City based band whose sound changes from album to album and their band has no official line up. Oh yeah, and sometimes they like to wear masks. Their sound is classified as psych folk, noise rock, or any combination of the words indie, soul, experimental and rock. Need convincing? Just watch their video for Fireworks, kind of out there, but entertaining nevertheless. The Water Curses EP isn’t scheduled to release until May 6th but lucky for you the entire thing leaked on March 12th right after the song “Water Curses” was released digitally. Some people call them downright weird, while other seem to find them genius. Either way, they are playing the Electric Factory, Wednesday April 23, and we want you to go.
