It’s true. And not that we’re complaining, but it’s a bit eerie. Here’s a quick roll call of the Barrack-happy trio of nights leading up to and including Election Night at Silk City:

- Sunday is Obama Rama, a night of live entertainment and DJs hosted by none other than Jersey Dan.
- Monday there’s Barack2Basics, a blockbuster edition of King Britt’s Back2Basics weekly co-hosted by two.one.five magazine.
- And Tuesday — i.e. Election Night — it’s PaperStreet’s Yay Democracy! bash, where YOU THE CITIZEN decides who performs, as detailed here:
1. Go to the sign-up page and enter your choice for your favorite DJ & performer. By voting, you’re already on the $5 reduced list (proceeds go towards the artists).
2. We will tally your votes THIS WEEK and we will pursue the leading candidates.
3. If you are a DJ or a performer, you’re free to spread the message to all of your fans. This is how party democracy works, it’s called “campaigning”. You’ll be forever remembered as Philadelphia’s most beloved artist. (And this is a paid gig, just like the presidency.)

Point is, that’s a whole lotta lovin’. Call it preaching to the converted if you must, but that won’t make these nights any less fun for the Obama devotees of our city. Begs the question, though: Where exactly are the blow-out bar bashes for Hillz?
