Cute Boy Alert: Joe Torsella
It’s a shameful thing, but before yesterday, we honestly had no idea who Joe Torsella even was! Turns out, in addition to being the CEO (and one of the driving forces behind the construction) of the National Constitution Center, this kid was also a major player in the early days of Ed Rendell’s administration, which, previous to the Nutter campaign, was the last time anyone with a friggin’ brain got anywhere near City Hall. (Note to self: Re-read A Prayer For The City.) But yesterday, Torsella was everywhere: Quipping on Action News, and being so super patient with Stephen Colbert, even narrowly avoiding a little slap-fight with the man with humor and grace (video clip after the jump). OH MY GOD HE IS SO CUTE. Oh, and also? He can release doves. Doves!

how do you NOT know Joe Torsella - after all, he was the one hit in the head and brought down to his knees in that historic set collapse on opening day of the NCC!!

Completely agreed. He also played a noble part in trying to get the Olympics to come to Philly. He’s probably the only public figure in Philadelphia I’ve actively wished wasn’t married. He should be on tv more.

That’s awesome. Joe did a great job playing around in that segment and the NCC deserves the air time.

For God’s sake, he is a married man. Cute, yes. But married, very. And, of course, most importantly - to me. So back off. Mrs. Torsella
