When we got the press release a few days ago that Barocky Obama was heading back to PA today — he’s speaking in Malvern and Levittown at a pair of those town meeting-type things CNN loves so much — we kept on waiting for the followup of, you know, where he’ll be when he actually comes to Philadelphia. But it’s 10:34 on Wednesday morning, and there’s no news where he’ll be between and after his other appearances. And it got us to thinking about the whole Michael Nutter/Hillary Clinton braincloud again. I mean, if we could put this in terms of the current plotlines on The Hills, it’s like this: Nutter, unforch, is kind of like Spencer — he’s got Heidi (Hillary), and he’s pretty much alienated everyone around him by making that stupid music video with Heidi on the beach, actually deluding himself into thinking that Heidi has any talent and is going to be a big star, but pfffft, as if. Meanwhile, Obama is like Lauren — he’s really nice, and he has great ideas! And really, if Heidi would only step outside herself, she would see that Spencer and her are really bad for each other. Because Spencer’s got problems of his own. Spencer has a city overrun by street urchins to fix. I mean, he’s gotta get a JOB. But, since Lauren is really nice and pretty and super smart, she’s not gonna throw all this in Spencer’s face every chance she gets because, you know, sometimes you have to let people be. But on the other hand, it’s not like Lauren is gonna go to some party where she KNOWS Heidi and Spencer are gonna be, but it’s a shame because you know what? All of Heidi and Spencer’s friends, such as they are, are so, so sick of this nonsense and would be so, so stoked to see Lauren at their party. And Brody, too!
