Readers Write: Lorelai Gilmore Now Dangerously Close To Sugarcube And Vagabond

I get off the el at 2nd and Market today and there’s all these Haddad (sp?) trucks and trailers all over the place, a few big movie lights set up, and a whole bunch of movie groupies hanging out on the corners by the Continental and across the street at that creepy diner. I assume it’s the Luke Wilson Show because I heard he’s in town but turns out he’s filming in Bryn Mawr. I look around and don’t see anyone famous and so I continue walking up Market to 3rd. Then one of the trailer doors swings open and out comes a production assistant and Lorelai Gilmore!!! Lorelai’s hair was all Breck shampoo fancy, and I’d heard she was really short, but the PA was much shorter, so she looked tall by comparison. She had a look on her face like she smelled something funny.
WE’LL BE RIGHT THERE! And oh, PS: Her name is Lauren Graham. And we luft her.

She was at 16th and South along with Jeff Daniels all last week filming for a movie called Dream of the Romans. Their trucks woke me up every morning at 4 am.

Lauren Graham is working on a film with Jeff Daniels called “The Dream of the Romans”.
Luke Wilson’s film (Tenure) starts shooting this week in Bryn Mawr and random parts of Philly. Owen Wilson’s current project (Marley and Me) will be here in early May for about 2 weeks. There are a LOT of films coming up in Philly, supposedly including some scenes for Transformers2. Hooray for the tax credits bringing in more work!

I take umbrage with your source’s use of the term “creepy” to describe the lovely, untouched-by-old-city-douchebaggery Snow White Diner.
