Comcast And BitTorrent Patch Things Up, Move Into Together, Get Beagle
Internet dungeon master Comcast is dismantling the ethernet rack and finally de-shackling all you BitTorrent users: The cable superpower and San Francisco-based file-sharing company BitTorrent have put down their maces, defrocked their armor and are embracing each other as techno-lovers. Comcast will no longer seek out and obliterate BitTorrent users during peak times, in exchange for BitTorrent working to have their software run more smoothly over Comcast’s broadband network. Either way, big bad Comcast is freeing us p2p slaves, with the promise of 40 acres of bandwith and a mule. Let’s hope they come through.
