Rumblings: Port Richmond Crack Affects Us All… On Bag Day
>>> Ooofa. Look at that thing. Discovered yesterday between the Allegheny and Girard exits, this crack has made local news anchors giddy with girlish glee and commuters vaguely perceive that a daily highway commute is stupid and ecologically irresponsible anyway. Best part? It’s going to last for days. [AP]
>>> Alert to commuters reading this on their iPhones: TURN AROUND, get on the Betsy Ross or Tacony Palmyra and get thee to “Bag Day” down in Atlantic City. Whatsit?
Bag Day will be held all day today at the Atlantic City outpost of the Irish Pub. The idea is that you are so hung over from St. Paddy’s day that you need to cover your face with a paper bag to show up at the bar — and keep on drinking.
Ah, such dignity we feel around here in the St. Patty’s Day season. [DownTheShoreWithJen]
>>> But either way, while you’re stuck up there, just remember: Everything’s dirtier in the Northeast. Especially if you’re one of the like 10 Republicans up there. [DN]
