Musical Rumblings: This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things
>>> Total bummer: The Robin Hood Dell East (shown here in a far more awesome time than the one we live in now) is outta commission for this summer, and part of the one after that. The reason? Years of neglect. (We’re looking in your direction, John Street.) So in lieu of their shows that would have happened, I, Joey Sweeney, humbly submit/offer that this summer, The Dazz Band, SOS Band, Confunkshun, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, The Dells and The Stylistics can all play at MY HOUSE. I probably can’t cover whatever your guarantees were at the Dell East, but I think I can definitely hook you up with some VitaminWater. [AP]
>>> Steven Bloodbath reveals: Turbostation is merely a halfway house where young DJs can relax, get a hot meal, pray and hide from haters. [PW]
>>> And as a sidebar to today’s earlier Philebrity Promise, the search for the new “bangers” is officially ON. [Low-Bee]

Steve should have told them not to post on bco, if he was really trying to protect them from haters

that PW article on Turbostation was laugh-out-loud hilarious. “What brings the 13 friends together is a desire to escape the backstabbing that goes with putting on a party in Philadelphia.” Are you fucking kidding me? These kids are so full of money, drama, and coke that they can’t find their way out of their own American Apparel asses. Pul-eeeeeeeeze, son.
